What loading should an access cover be rated to?

Pedestrian-only areas take an A15 equivalent cover. Car park decks and light vehicle areas need B125, and yards used by HGVs need D400. Tell us the traffic and the clear opening and we specify the plate thickness and the bearer layout to suit.

Can covers be infilled to match the surface?

Yes. A recessed cover is made as a tray so it can be filled with block paving, tarmac or resin to match the surrounding surface, leaving only the frame edge visible. We supply the tray depth to suit the finish you are laying.
