How do I measure for a driveway gate?

Measure between the faces of the piers or posts at the top and bottom of the opening, and note the fall across it. We deduct the hinge and latch clearance ourselves. If you are using our steel posts, give us the brick-to-brick dimension instead.

Can a driveway gate be automated later?

Yes. Ask for the automation-ready build and we reinforce the hinge stiles, weld motor plates to the frame and add a duct entry before coating. Retro-fitting those details to a finished gate means cutting and re-coating, so it is cheaper to specify now.
