What clear height should a car park height restriction barrier be?

2100mm is the usual clear height for a surface car park, as it admits cars and small vans but excludes tall vans and caravans. Where an ambulance or refuse route passes through, use 3000mm. Multi-storey decks are commonly restricted to 2000mm.

How wide can a single-span barrier go?

We span up to 6m in a single beam using 100 x 100mm box section. Beyond that we either deepen the section or add a centre post. Every barrier is supplied with height warning plates on both faces and a bolt-set or root-set post option.
